Client: Paris Baguette
Year: 2012

In 2011, Paris Baguette, a Korean coffee shop retailer, wanted to create glass packaging for their new ready-to-drink iced coffee product. They reached out to us to help bring their vision to life.

While it may seem straightforward, we were drawn to the shape and details of a roasted coffee bean. No other brand was taking this approach, and the largest competitors were using a nostalgic milk-bottle that we feel didn’t communicate coffee through form.

We explored 10 different bottle shapes and graphic styles in our design phase, and Paris Baguette chose a bottle that mimicked a coffee bean. The bottle felt perfect in the hand, and cued a bit of cuteness that consumers were immediately drawn to.

We refined the form to work efficiently with glass molding techniques and filling lines in manufacturing. Branding and industrial design worked together to execute the final vision. Designed in collaboration with Karim Rashid Studio.
